Roger R. Fournier II 35, of Woonsocket, died unexpectedly Friday, November 11. He was the devoted and loving husband of Erin (Morgera) Fournier. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of Mary (Oles) Fournier and the late Roger R. Fournier. He was a gifted mechanic who enjoyed working with his hands. He also loved boating, camping, fishing, traveling, road trips, and going to concerts and the casino. Roger loved racing and racing cars with the race team at Seekonk Speedway, but above of all, he just loved spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a man who lived each day to the fullest, and was always there to help, whether he was asked or not. Roger was that guy who would literally take the shirt off his back if you needed it. He would do anything for his friends and family.
In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by a daughter; Jeweleana Lariviere-Fournier, two sisters: Christine Scoggins and her husband Rusty of Shreveport, LA, Bonnie Ridgeway and her partner Nick Paul of Woonsocket, a brother Zachary Fournier of Woonsocket, two aunts; Brenda and Sue Oles, both of Uxbridge MA, three nephews; Stephen, Gavin & Kristian, one niece: Schelby, and many cousins that were more like brothers and sisters, just like his friends.
Visitation will be Friday, 4-7 PM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket, with a brief prayer service beginning at 6:45.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, RI Chapter, 205 Hallene RD, Suite 209, Warwick, RI 02886.
