BEVERLY: Joseph Robert “Bobby” Belanger, 82, died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Helen (Dupuis) Belanger who died in 2013. They shared over fifty-five years of marriage.
Born in Salem on August 15, 1934, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Anna (Chaves) Belanger. He had resided in Salem for several years before moving to Beverly fifty years ago.
Bobby was employed in the food service department at Beverly Hospital for over thirty-three years. He was also a friend of Bill W.
He is survived by two sisters, Sylvia Ywuc and her husband, John of Salem and Theresa LeBel of Rowley and her late husband, Donald; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, including, Cecile Belanger and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Meador and a brother, Leon Belanger.
His funeral service will be held on Friday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 6 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4 – 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
