Obituary

Mildred M. Cawley (Stanton) age 96 of Dorchester passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family, November 12th. Born in Boston, she was raised in Forest Hills and has lived in Dorchester over 60 years. She was a longtime Parishioner at St. Ann Church in Neponset where she worked as a cook in the rectory for many years. She was a member of the K Club at Florian Hall and a member of the St. Gregory Seniors. Beloved wife of the late John C. Devoted mother of Patricia A. Ryan and her husband John of Dorchester, Richard T. Cawley & his wife Elizabeth O’Reilly of Marshfield, Anne M. Diorio and her husband Robert of Hanover, and Mildred M. O’Connor and her husband Daniel of Braintree and the late John C. Cawley, Jr. Dear mother-in-law of Julia Cawley of Marshfield. Loving sister of Joseph G. Stanton of Milton and the late Thomas Stanton, Jr. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tara Cawley. Funeral Mass at St. Ann Church, Neponset Thursday morning at 10:30 am. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm. Burial Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. The family would like to acknowledge the care received at the Carney Hospital ICU and Bostonian Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility (especially the Pope Hills Unit).
