Thomas Elbert "Dolford" Trew
September 7, 1942-November 10, 2016

Thomas Elbert "Dolford" Trew, 74 of Anderson, died November 10, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional hospital after an extended illness.

He was born September 7, 1942 in Tazewell, Tennessee.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war.

He worked production at Stanley Security (formerly Bestlock) 35 years before retiring in 2009.

He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church and recently attended West Side United Baptist Church in Muncie.

He liked to garden, fish, watch sports, especially NASCAR and football on television.

Survivors include his two daughters, Rhonda (Dennis) Langley of Knightstown; Tina Cornett of New Castle; two granddaughters, Trinity and Victoria Cornett both of New Castle; his brother, Robert "Curly" Trew of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; his caregiver, Sue Hensley of Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Velma Trew on September 26, 2014; and his brother, Henry Trew.

Services will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Larry Waters of Westside United Baptist Church in Muncie officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service.
