Augusta, GA-
On October 31st, Barbara Horeyseck devoted wife and mother passed away. She was 95. She lost her husband of 67 years, Paul, just under two years ago and is survived by sons, Lee and Peter. Those who knew her best will remember her as an animal lover extraordinaire. She was passionate about her cats and dogs, making their lives truly remarkable for the care and love they received.
She was a person who engaged many pursuits with intelligence and vigor. These interests include gardening, flower arranging, landscape design, antique collecting, decorating, entertaining, reading, cooking, painting, bird watching, swimming and sailing. She passed along many of these interests to her sons.
Above all, she was a wife and mother who made sure that her family was well taken care of. There were healthy balanced meals every day. And everyone got their favorites, too, even if not exactly healthy. She emphasized school with balanced outside activities, always making sure that everything was ‘done right’. She attended more sporting and Scouting events than most mothers did.
She also liked to have a good time. She loved going on cruises, attending ‘float boat parties’, playing bridge and entertaining in her home.
The family will be having a private remembrance. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the ASPCA, per her wishes.
