Lucia A. Whalen (Walsh) age 84 of Hingham, formerly of Canton passed away at her home in Hingham on November 11, 2016. Born and raised in Brookline, Lucia attended Brookline High School and graduated from Mt. Alvernia High School. Mrs. Whalen worked as a Realtor in North Andover and Canton for many years. She had a passion for art, she especially enjoyed painting and ceramics. Beloved wife of the late Michael E. Mother of Michael J. Whalen and his wife Gaye of Westwood, Joyce Whalen Macrina and her husband Tony of Carver and the late Robert M. Whalen. Mother in law of Cheryl Whalen of Canton. Sister of the late Richard Walsh. Cherished grandmother of Brittany Butler, Bobby, Megan, and Oliva Whalen, Brooke, Cody and Ashley Whalen, Aj, Alex and Dominic Macrina. Also survived by her great grandson, Christopher Butler. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Friday morning at 10:00. Visiting hour at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday morning prior to the mass from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Burial at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne Friday afternoon at 12:45.
