Eric J. Hanson, 60, of Franklin died November 8 in Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Boston, May 3, 1956, the son of the late Walter and Martha (O’Callaghan) Hanson, he was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Eric had been a mechanic for the National Lumber Company.
He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with machines.
Eric is survived by his son Eric K. Hanson of Dorchester.
He is also survived by his siblings, Andrew Hanson of Franklin, Marc Hanson of Franklin and Hillary Gargiulo of Wareham.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 15 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
