LYMAN- Henry “Bud” L. Owens Jr., age 73, passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2016 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
He was born in Summit, NJ on March 31, 1943, the son of the late Henry and Gladys (Jones) Owens.
After graduating from high school, Bud went on to graduate from Trenton State Teachers College, now known as the College of New Jersey. Later, he took courses at Rutgers.
Bud was proud to be an educator. He taught high school biology at Warren Tech in NJ and most recently at Wells High School.
Besides his love of teaching, he enjoyed handyman work, landscaping, and traveling.
He was a soccer and baseball coach and was a member of AA.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Ann Marie (Blier) Owens; children- Kim Trevisan and her husband Steve and Karel Aker and her husband Cliff; step children- Lori Benson and her husband Jeff and Steven Dumond; grandchildren- Kevin, Vincent, Sylvia, Vanessa, Dylan, Justin, Benjamin, Hannah, and Andrew; and many dear friends.

Visitation to celebrate Bud's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 3 – 5 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
