
Lynette Rosenauer Person, beloved wife, mother, and sister passed away peacefully on November 9, 2016, surrounded by her family. Lynette was born in Houston, TX on October 2, 1946, to Voncille and Parker Paul Rosenauer.
Lynette graduated from the University of the District of Columbia with a degree in Psychology. She met George (Doug) Person and became engaged while they were both living in Washington, DC. She married Doug in 1977 in the First United Methodist Church and they lived the rest of their lives in Water Valley.
Lynette was a kind, gentle and selfless woman, focused on the upbringing and education of her daughter, as well as the rescue and care of an implausible number of stray animals. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Lynette was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by daughter Karen Elizabeth Person, sister Terri Russell, and Girl Person the terrier schnauzer she found on Panola Street in 1999.
A graveside memorial service was held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 11, 2016 in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Rev. Alan McGraw officiating.
