George L. Denn, a resident of Hudson, New Hampshire and formerly of Charlestown, South Boston, Rockland and Weymouth, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his home in Hudson, New Hampshire following an extended illness. He was 74 years old.
George was born in Boston on July 8, 1942, a son of the late Joseph Denn and Lillian (Gill) Denn. He grew up in South Boston where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. George was a laborer for over 25 years for several construction companies and was a proud member of the Laborers Union Local # 223. He retired in 2013. George loved to cook and was always willing to help anyone with a project and enjoyed working around the house. George knew the meaning of family and was always there to help out whenever he could and look forward to spending the special times with family members.
George is the beloved husband for over 30 years to Irene T. "Sally" (Britton) Denn. He is the devoted father of David Denn, James Denn, Kathy Denn, Jenna Livingston and the late George Denn. He is the loving Grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is the beloved brother of Joe Denn and his wife Sheila, Virginia Donovan and her late husband Harold, Frances Lampron and her husband Kevin, Robert Denn and his wife Sharon, Roger Denn and his wife Shirley, Lillian Figueroa, Theresa Gates and her husband Patrick and the late Richard Denn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend George's Funeral Service on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. His visiting hours will be on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2 to 6 P.M. in the funeral home.
