Earl Charles Gamble, 103, of Anderson went home to join his beloved Ruth and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 11/08/2016. He passed away at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a short illness.
Earl was born in Anderson on June 12, 1913, the son of Stella (Mullins) and John Gamble. He was married to Ruth (Pittman) for over 60 years. Earl’s Christian faith was the foundation of his long life and brought him great joy.

He is survived by his son David Gamble and daughter-in-law Jane Burns, granddaughter Holly Telfer, many nieces and nephews and special family friends Kathy Rousey and David Thomason.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife, and siblings Ann Carmody, Stella Cole, John Gamble and Bill Gamble.
Special thanks to Doctor Kopp and his staff, the staff and caregivers at Vermillion Place, Countryside Manor, St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital and St. Vincent Hospice, who all cared for Earl as if he were their own family member. We are grateful to his church family from the First Church of the Nazarene for providing his spiritual home and their loving support.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:21.
