Obituary

S. HAMILTON: Lorraine A. (Langevin) Frerk, 90, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at Oceanview of Beverly following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Herbert J. Frerk who died in 2005.

Born in Lynn on September 17, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Rose A. (Michaud) Langevin. A graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, she had resided in Lynn, Salem and Wenham for many years before moving to South Hamilton in 1993.

Lorraine started her career as a Stewardess flying for Pan American World Airways, where she met her husband. They had their first date in Accra, Africa and traveled the world together extensively before starting a family. Later in life she worked as the tax collector for the Town of Wenham. Throughout her life she enjoyed travelling, gardening, playing cards, bird watching in her yard and especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda L. Tyler and her husband, David of Katy, TX and Janet M. Flagg and her partner, Marcie Flores of Newmarket, NH; three sons, John M. Frerk and his wife, Julie A. (Murray) of Beverly, Peter C. Frerk of Gloucester and his former spouse, Virginia K. (Westervelt) of Boxford and Andrew W. Frerk and his wife, Cynthia A. (Lotito) of Essex; ten grandchildren, Jake Frerk of Whitefish, MT, Jared Frerk and his wife, Dominique of Beverly, Jocie (Frerk) Larson and her husband, Nick of Belgrade, MT, Marissa Frerk of Hamilton, Marcus Frerk and his wife, Vanessa of Kaneohe, HI, Alden Flagg of Newmarket, NH, Kayla (Flagg) Jager and her husband, Brett of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, Cassandra Tyler of Odessa, TX and Brittany and Victoria Tyler both of Katy, TX; one sister, Connie Delaney and her husband, Bill of Bedford, MA and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in The Church of St. Paul, 50 Union Street, Hamilton at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Friday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
