Obituary

Age 90
Of St. Paul, MN
On November 7, surrounded by family, she went home to be with the Lord, her parents, brother & dear friend Vivian. Ursula, known as Mimi to all, emigrated to the United States from Germany in 1948, having lived through World War II. She would spend the rest of her life in St. Paul raising her four children Sandra Kennedy (William), Edward (Vicki), Beverly Edwards & Brigitte; step daughter Sandy Lawson (Michael); taking care of grandkids Benjamin (Jacqueline), Emily (Jeff), Lindsey (Ken), Elizabeth & Alexandria; & doting on her great grandchildren Parker, Tyler, Ava, Mya, Ivy, Pearl & Benjamin. Having fulfilled her heart's desire to see her third set of great grand twins born, her life as a caregiver was complete. Everyone who knows her has worn a pair of her knitted booties, cuddled in a homemade afghan, enjoyed her traditional German cooking, & of course, listened to her many, many stories. She was a world traveler & enjoyed many sailing adventures & captured them in her own memoir about sailing 'The Sabbatical'. She was a wonderful hostess, avid bowler & loved her poker group. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Auf Viedersein to our Mimi. Memorial service Saturday (11/12) 4:00 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to service. Private interment Lakeview Cemetery.
