Anne B. Hudson, 89, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Ocilla Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rob Dowdle officiating. Her daughter Julianne Muchnick will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Frank Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Hudson was born October 7, 1927, in Warwick, Georgia, to the late Cozzie Cleveland and Ellen Harris Bass. She graduated from Warwick High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Hudson was an instructor in Consumer Ed at Ben Hill Irwin Tech., a former caseworker for DFCS, a former home economist and also owner and operator of Ted Hudson Green Houses. She enjoyed the quilting guild, gardening and she was also an accomplished acrylic painter. Mrs. Hudson was a faithful member of Ocilla Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Julianne & Daniel Muchnick of Douglasville; a son, Mike & Sheila Hudson of Ocilla; grandchildren: Michael & Jessica Muchnick, Joe & Hannah Muchnick, Paul & Natalie Muchnick, Steven & Lindsay Hudson and Stacie Hudson; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eugenia & Gene Espy of Macon and a sister-in-law, Sarah Bass of Warwick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Talmadge “Ted” Hudson and a brother, Carson Bass.
