Obituary

MARLBOROUGH -- Ms Gregoria “Lillian” L. Fede, 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 5th at the Reservoir Nursing Home.

Lillian was born on December 9, 1918 in West Hoboken, New Jersey a daughter of the late Dominick and Giacomia (Martini) Fede.

Lillian lived most her life in Shrewsbury, graduating from the Shrewsbury High School. She worked at the US Army Research Lab in Natick as a secretary for over thirty years up until her retirement.

She was a parishioner of St Anne’s Church in Shrewsbury where she participated in the church choir for thirty years, was a Sunday school teacher, and also was one of the first Girl Scout leaders in the church. She was the former president of the Shrewsbury Calvary Monastery. Lillian was also known for her published short stories that read in the Worcester Telegram.

Her family would like to thank the staff at the Reservoir Nursing and Rehab Center for the many years of caring for Lillian.

She is survived by her brother Dante P. Fede and his wife Evelyn (Mangano) Fede her devoted sister in law whose constant care gave Lillian happiness during her stay at Reservoir Nursing Home; she also leaves her close friend, Kathy Tracy, and five nieces.

Lillian was pre-deceased by her brother Luigi J. Fede.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday November 8th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St in Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00a.m. at St Anne’s Church in Shrewsbury. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 8th from 9:30am to 10:30am in Funeral Home.
