Peter A. Boates died peacefully, at the age of 71, on November 1, 2016 after a long illness. He was the loving son of Vincent and Margaret Boates and the brother of previously deceased Paul A. Boates.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy Boates of Mendo; nephews Brandon Boates and his wife Kara of Mendon and M. Corey Boates of Worcester; and nieces Margaret and Samantha Boates of Mendon.
Peter was a kind person who took wonderful care of his parents in their later years. He was a graduate of Natick High and served in the National Guard. Peter worked for many years as an auto mechanic. He moved from Natick to West Yarmouth and later to Winter Haven Florida. His favorite times were spent fishing and boating in Duxbury. He will always be remembered for his kindness and "fish stories."
At Peter's request services will be private. A gathering to celebrate his life will take place on November 19, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Ken's Steak House , 95 Worcester Rd., Framingham, for family and friends of Peter's.
