Rev. John F.X. Fallon of Wellesley, formerly of Jamaica Plain on November 6, 2016. Beloved son of the late James V. and Mary A. (Kelly) Fallon. Father Fallon was born and raised in Blessed Sacrament Parish, Jamaica Plain. A graduate of B.C. High School Class of 1950 and St. John's Seminary. He was ordained on February 3, 1958. He spent 3 years in missionary work in Columbus, Georgia, 3 years as Chaplain of Cushing Hospital, Framingham, 1 year at the College of Pastoral Counseling at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Washington, D.C. and was Chaplain from 1970 until 1995 at the Brockton, Lyons New Jersey and Jamaica Plain Veteran Administration Hospitals, retiring in 1995. He then became Assistant Chaplain at St. Elizabeth Seton Residence, Wellesley Hills. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Mission Church 1545 Tremont St. Roxbury on Saturday November 12 at 10:30 am. Visiting at the Church from 9:30 am until 10:30 am prior to the Mass. Interment at New Calvary Cemetery.
