THOMPSON, Lucy S., 65, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016.
Lucy grew up in Crescent Hill. She loved being very active, enjoyed gardening, ballroom dancing and Summer trips to Michigan. She was a 1973 honors graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a double major in French and English. Additionally, she graduated with honors from the University of Louisville Speed Scientific School in 1991. Lucy was an LG&E retiree.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Thompson; children, Tommy Thompson and Jennifer Lippert (Kevin); granddaughter, Katie Lippert; brother, Joe Sheilley; sister, Susan Baird (Bill); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday 1pm-4pm at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, with service to follow at 4pm.
