Obituary

Arleen Beverly Bilinski ……. born May 21, 1943
Arleen died peacefully at Academy Manor in Andover MA on November, 5th, 2016 under the loving care of Hospice and her husband after her long battle with multiple sclerosis and dementia.
Arleen was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Lived and attended Bellevue N.J. high school. Upon marrying her husband Joseph, she lived in Kearny N.J. and North Caldwell N.J. up until 1973 when the family moved to Tewksbury, Ma.
Arleen while living in Tewksbury, had been involved in all the aspects of the banking operations for 30 years, with her special skills she emerged to the level of a Bank Branch Manager.
Arleen attended the UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS @ LOWELL to attain her Banking Degree and furthered educated herself in attending THE NEW ENGLAND BANKING INSTITUTE, Lowell.
Arleen has held many positions in her banking career that she experienced through six bank mergers, some such as; Assistant Vice President, Treasurer, Notary Public, Human Resource Recruiter, and Trainer.
Arleen’s banking associations include, United Way Volunteer – in that she planned, organized and coordinated in raising over $250,000, Kidney Foundation volunteer, American Heart Association treasurer, International Institute board of director, Lowell and Lawrence Rotary member, conducted formal presentations at high schools to promote college financial aid plans. Along with receiving several awards, for her sales referrals and increasing the branch sales.
Arleen`s interest and joys included gardening, interior decorating, photography, antiquing, depression-era glass collecting, flea markets, family gatherings, fireworks and especially shopping. One of her favorite places was Ogunquit Beach, Maine. She also enjoyed the many vacations to Florida with Captiva Island being her favorite destination where she spent every morning there sea shelling which accumulated to a large collection. She also claimed that the visit to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, AZ. Along with the Las Vegas trips, held special memories that she would always cherish.
Besides her husband of 53 years, Joseph R Bilinski, she is survived by her daughters Christine Valentino and her husband Mike of Londonderry, NH, Deborah Shaw of Salem, NH and her son Joseph M Bilinski and his wife Ivi of Litchfield, NH. Grandson Tyler Poindexter along with step-granddaughter Kaylee Santos. Also, her sister Janice Colgan of Kearny, NJ and her sister-in-law Dorothy Bilinski of Flemington, NJ.
Her beautiful smile and thoughtful deeds shall be missed by all who knew her.
Notice
Family and friends are invited to her Calling hours on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. At the request of the family Funeral Services are private. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, North Tewksbury, MA.
