Richard Legrand Flake, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, November 5, 2016, Mr. Richard “Rick” Legrand Flake, Jr., 59, loving husband to Susan Cole Flake.
Mr. Flake was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and was a 1980 graduate of Clemson University. He was a professional civil structural engineer and owned Pro Act Engineering, Inc.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sons: Richard Flake, III and wife Amanda of Martinez, Patrick Flake of St. Simons Island; daughters: Caroline Flake and Elizabeth Flake, both of Augusta; grandsons: Parker, Liam, and William; parents: Legrand and Joyce Flake; brothers: Tim Flake and wife Kristen, Mark Flake and wife Teri; sisters: Nancy White and husband Larry, Marie Pohlman and husband Jason; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Resurrection will be Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Hull celebrant. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Dr., Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
