Barbara Jean McCain Barbee, age 76, of Water Valley, MS died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born May 27, 1940 in Water Valley, MS to Ella Leakey McCain and the late Floyd McCain. Barbara worked as a hairdresser for many years and later worked in the office at Mott’s in Water Valley, MS.
A visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Seven Oaks Venue in Coffeeville, MS.
Barbara is survived by her son, Stacy Barbee (Vickie Oates) of Oakland, MS; her mother, Ella Leakey McCain; her sister, Jo Pierce (Bill) of Hernando, MS; two grandchildren, Nicole Bloodworth (Brandon) of Charleston, MS and Erin Legge (Matthew) of Batesville, MS; and three great-grandchildren, Karlie, Addison and Amery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Faye King and Linda Babb; and her father, Floyd McCain.
