Robert “Bobby” William Granfield, passed away on Monday Oct 31, 2016 from a tragic accident. He was born on Oct 20, 1970 in Springfield to the late Robert and Violet (Winiarski)(Jarosz) Granfield. Robert was a former communicant of St Stanislaus Basilica. Robert worked as a Captain for Executive Jet Management in Windsor Locks and most recently for Flight Safety International as a pilot/instructor in Moonachie, NJ. He is preceded by his 2 brothers Thomas and Martin Jarosz and brother-in-law Dennis Nunes. He leaves 2 daughters Amanda and Alexa Granfield of Tolland, CT; 1 step daughter Ashley Childers of Boston; 1 brother Edward Jarosz and his wife Vonnie of West Springfield; 2 sisters, Cynthia Nunes of West Springfield and Sandra Spinks and husband Michael of Lawrence, MI , his best friend and partner in life Heather Lomax of Greenwood Lake, NY and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Mon, Nov 7, 2016 at 10 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee, MA with a Funeral Home service to begin at 11 AM. Burial will follow in St Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Sun, Nov 6, 2016 from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home.
