In Punta Gorda, FL, Pauline L. (Proulx) Hayes, passed away following a period of declining health in the Life Care Center in Punta Gorda, FL at the age of 81. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband John B. Hayes. She was born in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Paul & Georgette (Goyette) Proulx. Pauline had resided in Punta Gorda, FL the past six years and prior to that lived in Taunton and was also formerly of Randolph. Pauline was educated in Boston schools. She was employed as a registered nurse for the Town of Randolph in the Board of Health Department. Pauline enjoyed volunteering, attending bible study, vacationing and above all cherished her time with family, especially her loving grandchildren. She is survived by her children John Hayes of Northport, FL, Patricia Mello of Norton, Anne Simpson of East Taunton, Susan Hayes of Taunton and her late son Daniel Hayes. Pauline also leaves her siblings Theresa Chown of FL and Paul Proulx of NH. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, November 7th at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4 pm. Burial will be in the Bourne National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
