James Michael Rogers, 58, of Taunton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016. He was the son of Jacquelyn (Bernardino) Rogers of Taunton and the late John Rogers. Besides his mother, James is survived by his sister, Jane (Rogers) Santos; his niece, Jessica Santos Reis; twin great nieces, Juliana and Isabella Reis, and devoted cousin, Doug Ferreira. James has lived at the Dighton Ave. Group Home for the past 21 years where he was treated like family by all of the staff and residents. The family would like to extend their gratitude especially to Sarah Volner and Jane Pollard for their unending devotion to Jimmie the past 30+ years. James loved having visits from his family and greatly enjoyed music. His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Nov. 7th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church in Taunton at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
