Obituary


Jamie “Jim” (Connolly) S. Dousa 49, of Whitman, formally of Avon, died Wednesday November 2 in Brockton Hospital from complications of Multiple Sclerosis.

Born in Dorchester in 1967, and raised in Avon he was graduate of Avon High School, Class of 1985. He furthered his education at Massasoit Community College, later graduating in 1998 from University of MA, Dartmouth with his degree in physics and electrical engineering. He continued to take the courses required to become a teacher and had taught at Massasoit Community College.

Jim enjoyed photography, music, and for a short time a radio show airing on his computer, but he truly enjoyed the time spent with his friends.

He was the beloved husband of Stacey (Goodwin) Dousa for 17 years and 3 “leap years”. He was the brother of Richard Jankowski and his companion Linda Dinatelli and grandson of Aleksander Kocicz. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews; Johnathan, Jessica, Rebecca, Michelle, Emily, Aaron, Sarah and his great nieces Kayleigh and Maya.

He had come to care very much for his PCA’s Ali, Sue, Erin and Brittany who had assisted him over the years.

His funeral service will be held Saturday November 5 at 5:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2:00-5:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date.
