ORLEANS – J. Anne Snow, 88, of Orleans, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday November 1, 2016 after a courageous battle fighting cancer. She was born in Orleans to Harold R and Catherine E Cummings. She was the wife of William C Snow. They were in the same class in the Orleans Schools graduating in 1946. They would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary November 4th. She worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph, Dunn and Bradstreet, and then worked in the office of Snow’s Home & Garden for 27 years. After retiring she traveled for many years with her husband and wintered in Scottsdale, Arizona until 2015.
She left behind her daughter Penny L (Snow) Piazza and son-in-law Philip, her son Sidney H Snow and daughter-in-law Donna Nickerson Snow, her daughter Susan L Snow, grandson Jason Person and granddaughter Catherine N Snow. She was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Gallagher and Rita Sparrow and brother Harold R. Cummings Jr. She also left behind a niece and five nephews. She had tremendous love and devotion for her family and those many memories will always remain in our hearts.
