Obituary

Delma King of Rebecca passed away November 1, 2016 at the age of 78.

He was born on February 28, 1938 to the late John W. and Mary Alice Watson King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Horne and brothers, Wallace, William, Tom and Frank Harold (Jack). He is survived by his sisters, Peggy Shivers (Roger) of Ashburn, Nan Snow (James) of Mineral Bluff, Mary Elizabeth Wilson (Jimmie) of Woodstock. Brothers, J. C. (Sandra) King of Chula and Robert "Bob" (Jonnie) King of Mineral Bluff; and many nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Ashburn High School, Delma joined the Air Force serving eight years with a tour in Vietnam. He lived and worked in the Atlanta area until age 70 when he retired and returned home to Rebecca. Since his childhood, Delma had been a member of the Rebecca Methodist Church and was a Mason for over 50 years.

Memorial services will be held graveside Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rebecca.

The family asks that for those who wish in lieu of flowers donations be made to their favorite charity.
