Wayne T. Brown, 73, of New Bedford died October 31, 2016 at Savoy Nursing Home after a brief illness.
Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Elizabeth R. (James) Watkins, he lived in New York and New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Brown was formerly employed as a bus driver with Union Street Railway Company and Almeida Bus Company and also played the organ at several local churches in New Bedford.
He enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include his brother, Russell Watkins of New Mexico; 5 sisters, Joyce Watkins, Virginia Watkins, Janice Watkins, Lorraine Watkins and Sheryl Watkins, all of New Bedford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Jennifer Watkins and William Watkins.
His Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 11 AM in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
