Margaret C. (Churchill) Alves, 88, formerly of Braintree, passed peacefully, on October 30th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving mother of Joan Alves Horne and her husband, Stan of Bridgewater and Kenneth Alves and his wife Sheila of Whitman. She was the daughter of the late Julia Wilson, dear sister of Frances Wilson of Braintree and the late Alton Wilson also from Braintree. Devoted grandmother of Christopher Eranio, Kim Wong and her husband Felix, Sara Eranio and Scott Eranio, formerly of Easton: also the grandmother of Jillian and Richard Alves, formerly of Whitman. She is also survived by 2 great- granddaughters, Rowan and Shea Wong. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Stephanie Eranio of Easton.
Born in Cambridge, she lived in Braintree for her entire life. She was a graduate of Braintree High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper before becoming a home maker and devoted mother to her two children. Her delightful smile and dedication to her family was admirable.
Her funeral services will be held on Friday November 4th at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Furnace Village Cemetery, South Easton. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 3rd from 4:00-8:00PM.
