Obituary

Dorothy Baldwin, 89, of Worcester died Saturday, October 22nd in St. Vincent Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Freemond Lee Baldwin died in 2011. She leaves 5 daughters, Brenda Mettle of Delaware, Lillian Baldwin-Henry of Framingham, Darlene Alliah of Springfield, Maureen Morales and her husband, Edward of Worcester and Theresa Bosch and her husband, Norman Rocheleau of Lowell; four sisters, Annie English, Rose Johnston, Evelyn Gamble and Irene Robinson all of Worcester and Pearl Dewitt of San Jose, CA; many grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, George W. Robinson, Jr. and Robert Robinson and three sisters, Marie Robinson, Daisy Brown and Carrie Broyles.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of George and Vanilla (Miller) Robinson. Prior to retiring in 1992, Dorothy was a registered Nurse at West Side Nursing Home. She was a foster mother for many years to at risk children. Mrs. Baldwin spent a significant amount of time volunteering with the Salvation Army and Catholic Charities serving holiday meals. She was member of the Buddhist community in Woburn. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours are Wednesday, November 2nd from 4:30 until 6:30 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 640 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608 or to Catholic Charities, 10 Hammond Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
