Flora "Flo" Tryon, 95, of Freedom Village Liberty Road Oakdale, passed away on Friday October 28th at Bayview nursing home.
She was predeceased by her sister Olivia Rice of Seattle WA, brother Frank Saunders Jr of Groton CT, and sister Georgia Bingham of Stonington CT
She was predeceased by her daughter Helen E. Daniels. She was the wife of the late Howard E Tryon Sr. She was also predeceased by her parents Frank Saunders Sr. and Bertha Spargo Haynes.
She is survived by 4 of her children William Tryon and late wife Lenda of New London, Robert Tryon and wife Donna of Ledyard, Howard Tryon Jr. and wife Suzanne of Groton, Ellen O'Neill and husband Duncan of Oakdale. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 predeceased grandchild.
She worked for Sheffield for 27 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking to donate to Alzheimer's Association in her name.
Flora's family will greet relatives and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St, Mystic on Thursday November 3rd from 5 to 7 pm and Friday at a graveside ceremony at River Bend Cemetery in Westerly, R.I. time to be determined.
