Beloved husband of 65 years to Marion (Jacobs) Mostyn of Braintree. Devoted father of Maureen C. Seggelin of Quincy, Kevin P. Mostyn of Tiburon,CA, Judith Mostyn White of Gaithersburg, MD. Brother of Ellen Govatsos of Canton, Atty. William J. Mostyn of No. Eastham, Elizabeth Crowley of Quincy, Claire Contos of Quincy, Virginia O'Donnell of Quincy, and the late Maureen Borhek and Catherine "Ivy" Desmond. Grandfather of Stephanie Smith, Stephen Knight, David Meleedy, and Michael Meleedy. Great grandfather of Jenna Meleedy. Patrick is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Monday at 9:00 AM.
Funeral Mass in St. Clare Church, Braintree at 10:00 AM.
Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
Formerly of Passage West, Ireland and So. Boston. He was a supervisor in the Accounting Dept. of Domino Sugar (Amstar). He retired in 1976 and spent time traveling in Ireland, California, Maryland, and Florida with Marion, his high school sweetheart and wife. He immigrated from Ireland in 1928 and lived in So. Boston and graduated from So. Boston High School in 1933. He was an accomplished singer, and played the ukulele, guitar, piano and organ. He loved music. He celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary on August 10th only a few hours before he passed away. He volunteered entertaining at nursing homes and senior centers. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He loved sports, especially golf which he played with his grandson Michael. He was a long distance swimmer and loved spending time at Sunset Lake in Braintree. He was also a member of the Castle Island Association.
