Dorothy J. Howe

TEWKSBURY: Dorothy J. (Sullivan) Howe, age 70, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away after a period of declining health, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill on Friday, October 28, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Howe.
Born in Boston on August 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Jeffrey Sullivan and the late Domenica (DiFazio) Sullivan.
She was a graduate of Medford High School.
Dorothy was employed for many years by the Digital Equipment Corporation as a Telecom Analyst.
She enjoyed gardening, and was a member of the Billerica Garden Club. In addition, she was a former Campfire Girls Leader, an avid reader, a passionate Boston sports fan, Tom Brady and David Ortiz being her favorite athletes. She also loved cooking for her family and friends, traveling, and spending time at the beach- which earned her the nickname of “Beach Baby”.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House for the exceptional care they provided to Dorothy.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna M. (Howe) Beaulieu and her husband Michael R. Beaulieu of Beverly, and Dorinda L. Howe of Tewksbury; three grandchildren, Richard E. Travers, Jr. of Tewksbury, Lindsey J. and Austin M. Beaulieu both of Beverly; one great grandchild, John C. Travers. She is the sister of Robert J. Sullivan and his wife Debbie of Medford, Elizabeth Graziano, and Jeffrey Sullivan and his wife Linda all of North Conway, NH, and Theresa Sullivan of Somerville, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury (Please meet at church). Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. At Dorothy’s request there are No Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
