Chae Hui Tipton
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, October 28, 2016, Mrs. Chae Hui Tipton, 74, loving wife for over 48 years to Mr. Walter Tipton.
Mrs. Tipton was a native of South Korea and a Naturalized American Citizen. She worked in Banking for over 31 years and was employed with Georgia Railroad Bank, First Union Bank and Wachovia Bank. She retired from Wachovia Bank in 2005. Mrs. Tipton was a member of Open Door Baptist Church for 26 years; she sang in the choir and helped with the church flower arrangements. Mrs. Tipton is now a member of Abilene Baptist Church; she loved going to her favorite 5:30 A.M. church service at the Korean Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed making flower arrangements to take to nursing homes and shut-ins. Mrs. Tipton was the president of the Augusta Korean Christian Women’s Club from 2008 until 2016. She volunteered at the Golden Harvest Food Bank Masters Table and at the Euchee Creek Library. She loved visiting nursing homes and loved helping people.
Mrs. Tipton was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to share Bible stories with her grandchildren and encouraged them to read their Bible and pray every day.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Sandra Tipton Berzett and husband Jimmy; Sharon Tipton Black and her husband Stuart; grandchildren: Tristen and Kyle Berzett and Caleb, Noah and Olivia Black; brother: Kim Hong Hui; sisters: Kim Chang Hui, Kim Suk Hui and Kim Min Hui; and 13 nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tipton was preceded in death by her brother, Kim Sun Hui.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Abilene Baptist Church with Rev. David Ritchey officiating.
The family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Abilene Baptist Church Youth Mission Fund, 3917 Washington Rd, Martinez, GA 30907.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
