Joan R. Driscoll, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Born in Boston, she grew up in Milton and had lived in Braintree for many years. A graduate of Boston State College, Joan was a retired School Teacher of the Milton School Department where she taught for many years at the Pierce Elementary School. After her retirement she worked for the American Arbitration Assn., Boston. An avid reader with a special interest in History, Joan enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to travel worldwide. She also enjoyed gardening in her free time. The devoted sister of James J. Driscoll and his wife Judith of PA, Virginia M. Niosi and her husband Paul of Canton, Mary E. Corliss & her husband Robert of Pocasset and the late Lorraine Donovan & Marilyn McDonough, she is also survived by cherished nieces & nephews and loving friends. Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, 432 Adams St., Milton, Wednesday morning, November 2nd at 10:30. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
