Mary Ann (Swindell) Highers, 80, of Anderson passed away peacefully in her sleep October 26, 2016 at her residence after a brief illness.
Mary Ann was born August 13, 1936 in Elwood, IN to Herman and Leatha Nora (Bennett) Swindell. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1956.
She retired from Guide Lamp after 30 years of service in 1996.
She attended Gospel Light Chapel in Anderson. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and getting ice cream with her special friends, Diane and Aileen.
Survivors include her daughters, Nora (Bill) Farmer and Brenda (Highers) Spencer; two grandsons, Kyle Robb and Aaron (Ashley) Robb; great grandsons, Avery David Robb and Hesher Teamon Robb; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Teamon Highers whom she married June 7, 1963.
Services will be at Tuesday, November 1, 12 noon at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Loyce Webb officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service at noon on Tuesday.
