Kevin M. Begley, 45

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Kevin M. Begley, age 45, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 28, 2016. He was the beloved longtime partner of Lisa M. DeAngelis, with whom he made his home.

Born in Norwood, MA on January 8, 1971, he was a loving son of Edmund J. Begley of Chelsea and Joanne G. (Prosser) Rys and her husband Frederick of South Harwich.

Kevin was a 1989 graduate of Mansfield High School, where he played football and served as a captain of the football team. He continued his education, graduating in 1993 from Stonehill College.

For the past eight years, Kevin had been employed as an Operations Sales Representative in the Boston office for WPG America’s.

He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield and a member of the Mansfield Grid Iron Club.

Kevin’s favorite times spent were those amongst family and friends, especially with his adoring nieces and nephews. He was a true New England sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing golf, fishing and supporting Mansfield youth sporting programs.

In addition to Lisa and his parents, he is survived by his loving brothers and sister Christopher E. Begley and his wife Jen Jordan-Begley of Lunenburg, Kathleen L. Fisher and her husband Sean of North Attleboro, Andrew P. Rys and his wife Justina of Taunton and the late Jeffrey P. Rys. He was the devoted uncle of Hannah, Emily, Cameron, Natalee, Tommy, Carmen, Fred Simon, Tommy, Tyler and Timmy.

His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 2nd at 9:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 1st from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Kevin’s family would prefer that donations in his memory be made to DCF Kids Fund, 600 Washington St., Boston, MA 02111.
