Wayne Hugo Lundgren passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016, enveloped in love and surrounded by family. Wayne knew that family was not defined by blood alone but by who is in your life, and he lived that. Wayne leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Joan (Lydecker) Lundgren, Bella Marie his beloved Laborador, his fiercely loved Godson Jarrett Sylvester of Boston, his lifelong BFF Frederick Almquist of Orland, ME, lifelong friends Janet and Jack Sylvester of Lakeville, and numerous wonderful other people in his life and all of his wonderful Eckstrom relatives.
Wayne was born in Brockton to Florence (Carlson) Lundgren and Hugo Emil Lundgren in 1950. Wayne was raised in Easton and graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 1967 and went on to earn a BS in Engineering from Northeastern University. While working in NY he earned his MBA from Pace University.
Wayne was a loyal Patriot’s fan for 42 years and at one time held 10 season tickets. Through thick and thin all their bad years he remained a loyal fan. He loved all of the other Boston sports teams as well.
Wayne was so very kind and loyal and was protective of those in his life. He was an amazing son, husband and friend and will be missed to the moon and back.
