Randall F. Alves, 56, of New Bedford died Sunday October 23, 2016. He was the husband of Robin A. (King) Alves.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Fernand and Geraldine (Ferreira) Alves, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life. He was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Technical High School.
Randy was formerly employed as a union carpenter with the Carpenters Union Local 1305 in Fall River.
He was an avid New England Patriots fan.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Ryan R. Alves and his partner Christine Murphy of New Bedford, and Katie L. Costa and her husband Shawn of Freetown; his sister, Karen King and her husband Mark of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Cassidy and Myles Costa; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.
