Jeanne Nelligan Sheehy died October 26th after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Born in North Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte S. and Peter J. Nelligan. Beloved wife of the late Richard W. Sheehy. Loving mother of Richard W. (Lisa) Sheehy of Marstons Mills, Marcella M. Flaherty of Wakefield, Michael J. (Lisa) of Reading, Patrick B. (Renee) of Sneads Ferry, NC, Timothy J. of Winchester and David C. of Cambridge, and the late Peter J., Emily C. and Jeanne E., and dear mother-in-law of the late Thomas J. Flaherty. Dear sister of Claire J. Sullivan of Onset and the late Charlotte Pelissier. Mary Anne Morse, and Peter J. Nelligan. Also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Emmanuel College, she taught for several years at St. Mary’s School in Winchester before experiencing a successful real estate sales career for many years in Winchester, retiring at age 85. For 90 years she enjoyed summering in Onset where she spent countless sundrenched hours with dear friends and family. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Friday, October 28 from 4-7PM, and again on Saturday at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
