James W. Tyler 48 of Charlestown, formerly of Whitman, died Wednesday October 19 after a brave a battle with cancer.
Born in Brockton and raised in Whitman he was the son of the Sarah “Sally” Cregg of Abington and the late Wayne A. Tyler.
James had attended Whitman-Hanson High School and had worked many years as a self-employed carpenter.
In his free time James had loved to cook!
In addition to his mother he is survived by his companion Nkechima Andalcio and his children Branden Tyler and Briana Tyler both of West Bridgewater and Keona Tyler of Charlestown and his sister Holly Sullivan of Bridgewater.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services to be held Friday October 28 at 10:30 AM in the Colebrook Cemetery, Essex Street, Whitman. By request of the family all other services are omitted.
