Barbara D. (Wood) Chase, 86, of New Bedford died peacefully on Monday October 24, 2016 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Andrew B. Chase, III.
The highlight of her life was spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzle books, game shows, old movies, and listening to local talk radio.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah McLaughlin and her husband John of Lancaster, PA, her son Paul Chase of San Pedro, CA, her daughter-in-law Carol Chase, her son David Chase and his wife Linda, her daughter Barbara Flynn and her husband Sean, all of New Bedford; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Andrew B. Chase, IV.
The family wishes to thank Care One and Sacred Heart Nursing facilities for their kindness.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10 AM at Grace Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
