Cheryll R. Tredo, 71

Dateline: Norton, MA

Cheryll R. “Cherry” (Bremer) Tredo, age 71, of Norton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, following a one-year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of William P. Tredo, to whom she was wed for past 33 years.

Born in Rushville, Indiana on July 27, 1945, she was a loving daughter of the late John and Mae (Johnson) Bremer.

She spent her early childhood living in Indiana. She later moved to Norwood where she was a graduate of Norwood High School.

A resident of Norton for the past 31 years, Mrs. Tredo had been employed as a travel agent for over thirty-years at Ross Travel in Jamaica Plain, prior to retiring. She also worked as an Avon representative.

Cherry’s life was centered around her church and extended family. She was an active member at the First Congregational Church in Norwood, where she enjoyed singing for fifty-years in the church choir and playing the church bells. She was also a former member of the Neponset Choral Society and the Actors Collaborative in Mansfield.

She and her husband were extensive worldwide travelers and on one trip they spent two and a half weeks in the Bush in South Africa. She was also quite proud of being a former airplane pilot at Mansfield Airport and was a former member of the Chapter 701 Experimental Aircraft Association.

Cherry’s other hobbies and talents included crafts, designing beautiful greeting cards, painting folk art on wooden pieces and photography. She was also eagerly anticipating the birth of her third great grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she is survived be her devoted stepchildren Lory Broderick and Glenn Tredo both of Foxboro. She was the dear sister of Andrea LaMar of Ohio and the late Janna Bremer. She was the cherished grandmother of Ryan Ganter, Daniel Ganter, Holly Ambroise, Ami Tredo and Nicholas Tredo, the great grandmother of Kingston and Kylie Ambroise, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of Cherry’s life on Saturday, November 5th at 11:00 A.M. in the First Congregational Church 100 Winter St., Norwood.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Cherry with a donation in her memory made to the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center, 20 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757.
