Obituary

NATICK: Tafta Mangelly Coughlin, age 95, a lady of many talents and an unfailing sense of humor, died peacefully on September 19, 2016, at the Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, MD, her home for the past four years. She had been the devoted wife of the late Leonard R. Coughlin.

Born, raised, and educated in Natick, she was a daughter of the late Costa and Krisulla (Zengo) Mangelly. Tafta was employed a Life Group Analyst with Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and was lauded by the company for her 45 years of dedicated service. A Natick resident throughout her life, Tafta had been a member of the Albanian Orthodox Church of the Annunciation as well as the former First Baptist Church of Natick where she was a longtime Sunday School Superintendent. A steadfast and loyal friend, Tafta is remembered a loving sister and aunt who had no limit to her artistic crafting abilities.

Predeceased by Leonard in 2009 after 43 years of marriage, she is survived by a sister, Helen Hedderig of Kirkwood, MO; and nieces and nephews, Helen H. Pierce of VA, Jacquelyn H. Alexander of MD, Constance H. Hamilton of Amherst, Christine Mermarides of GA, Christopher Mangelly of SC, Linda Hedderig of AL, and Charles Hedderig of MO, and their families. She was also the sister of the late Daisy M. Hamilton and Thomas Mangelly.

Her funeral service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common on Saturday, October 29th at 11:00AM. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick.
