Adriano F. DaSilva, age 89, passed away on October 24, 2016, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Dighton Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Leonora (Cabral) DaSilva. Born in Fenais da Luz, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late João Ferreira Silva and Maria Eulalia (Oliveira) Silva. Adriano loved gardening, making wine and listening to Portuguese music. He was a member of several Portuguese Clubs and the Banda Nossa Senhora Da Luz.
Adriano leaves behind his children Sandra Cabral (husband Peter), Lucia Ferreira (husband Tony), John DaSilva (wife Lori), Judy Moody (husband Keith) and David DaSilva (wife Ana); siblings Eulalia Rego, Zulmira DaSilva and Joao Silva; 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Diamentina Amaral and Jose Silva.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday here at 8:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 9:15 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
