Obituary


Armando DiSarra of Wilmington passed away suddenly and unexpectedly early Saturday morning, October 22, 2016, while hunting in Bolton, MA, something that brought him great joy. He was 66 years old. Armando was the beloved husband of Josephine (Bianchi) and together they shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Fondi, Italy, Armando was the cherished son of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (D'Angelis) DiSarra.

Armando was raised and educated in Italy. Shortly following his marriage, he came to the United States in 1972. Together with his new bride, they settled in Somerville and began their family, bringing three beautiful daughters into the world. In 1988 his family moved to Wilmington where he had been a resident ever since. Armando worked as a talented machinist with Tecomet Co. of Wilmington which produces medical devices.

Armando was devoted to his loving family and also passionate about the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time in the woods. In addition to his beloved wife, Armando is survived by his three daughters, Connie DiMeo and her husband Jesse of Reading, Luana Scavone and her husband Steve of Boylston, Carol Foley and her husband Ryan of Wilmington. Armando was the loving Nonno of Arianna DiMeo, Gabriella DiMeo, and Anthony Scavone. He was the cherished brother of Maria DiSarra of Fondi, Italy and is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Thursday, October 27th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Dorothy Church, Main St., Wilmington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday from 4 p.m. through 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
