Methuen – Gwendolyn (Kelley) Stuart, 94 of Methuen, passed away peacefully at the Academy Manor in Nursing Home in Andover, surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 22, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles W. Stuart.
Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of John and Leora (Rowe) Kelley and graduated from Everett High School. She was on the Whidden Memorial Hospital Guild and was a member of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gwen will be deeply missed by her 2 children, Sally Frongillo and her husband, Dennis of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Susan Renninger and her husband, Steven R. of Gilbert, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Scott Mara and his wife, Caroline, Brian Mara and his wife, Nicole, and Dennis Frongillo, Jr. and his partner, Joella Mudge 6 great grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, McKenna; Andrew, Alanna, and Julia; 2 nieces - Linda (Kibby) Abate and Deborah (Kibby) Kosak; and 2 nephews – David Kibby and Gary Kibby.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Gwen’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 4 - 8 PM. Her funeral service will take place on Friday at 10 AM at First Church Congregational, 26 Pleasant Street, Methuen. Guests are invited to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
