Beams Sr., Emmett Burton, 93, was born on July 26, 1923 in Sonora, KY, and passed away October 22, 2016 in Louisville.
Emmett belonged to Harvest Baptist Church, was a member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge #830, a proud U.S. Army WWII Veteran, and an E.I. DuPont Retiree.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 years, Miriam (Madison) Beams; his children, Bert Beams Jr. (Sheliah), Darla Boyd (Andy), Madeline Drago , Ralph Beams (Cathy), and Debbie Meredith (Gavin); 9 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00AM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is Monday 4:00-8:00PM.
