Ryan Maurice Osman, 35, of Enigma passed away Friday, October 21, 2016, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Enigma United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pete Jones officiating. Mr. Osman will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Osman’s cousins, John Bowen, Michael Bowen, Tyler McMillan, Tanner McMillan, Gage McMillan and Jay York will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 14, 1981 in Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Mr. Osman was the son of Joseph and step-mom Karen Osman of Tampa, Florida and the late Phyllis Dawn McMillan. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin and Clara Osman and Maurice C. McMillan; and three uncles, Mark McMillan, Keith McMillan and Mike McNeal. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS John C. Stennis. He was a member of the Salvation Army and Enigma United Methodist Church.
In addition to his father and step-mother, Mr. Osman is survived by a daughter, Miranda Osman of Houston, Texas; his grandmother, Edna Fountain McMillan of Enigma; two step-sisters, Taylor (Michael) Rodriguez and Jordan Longo; his aunts and uncles, Sandy and Bill Bowen, Carole and Gregg Frank, Monica McMillan, Mary McNeal, Donna and Dennis Alexander and George and Janet Osman; and 14 cousins.
