Obituary

Hector Tarin, Our beloved husband, father, brother grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday morning, October 20, 2016. He was surrounded by family, as he had been his whole life and especially during these last three months.
Hector was born January 5, 1931 in the small town of Saticoy to Arturo and Irene Tarin. He was the baby of six siblings. The family moved to Historic Torilla Flats in 1944. He served three years in the Air Force, upon completion of service to his country, he met his soul-mate, and love of his life Alicia, in 1951. They were married three years later on April 24, 1954. They were blessed with five wonderful children. They were privileged to have 63 years together.
Hector was a house painter all of his life and was able to own his own company towards the end of his career. Hector's hobbies and interested varied. He loved golf, higher math classes and he was an incredible artist. His loved his family and the time spent with them he truly enjoyed.
Hector is survived by his wife, Alicia, his sister Mary Lou Roberts; children Charles (Kathy) Tarin, Margaret (John) Ewing, Terrie Tarin, Jane (Arnett) Smithson, and Grace (Bryan) Daniel. He is also survived by 7 grandsons Steve (Samantha), Jayson, Dylan, Wesley, Eric, Henry, and Daniel; great grandsons Isaac and Noah; Hector also leaves many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Wednesday October 26, 2016 from 2 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, where a A Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Thursday October 27, 2016 in the San Buenaventura Mission, 211 East Main Street Ventura. Private burial with Military Honors to follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
